Austin's massive urban bat colony features more than a million Mexican free-tailed bats living under the Congress Avenue bridge over the Colorado River.

Together with immersive's Mark Calvert and Joe Dunkley, an idea was formed to create an interactive performance in which the movement of the bats would trigger musical events that the audience could mix and effect. Composer Adam Janota Bzowski took on the task of creating the audio.

The result was a unique performance during the SSXW Festival in Austin in which passers by could interact with one of city's most famous icons in a way they had never thought possible.
